MS is used to long-term support for business/government because those clients generally stick with systems for longer than consumers and need to be given time to change. They can't pull the rug out from say, an old MIS structure used by some huge government agency without giving them years to upgrade. I didn't think that hardcastle was making the distinction between business/government and consumers.
