For historical fiction, Edward Rutherfurd's "The Princes of Ireland" and "Rebels of Ireland"

And if you want a mystery/romance set in Ireland, then Beatrice Brandon's "The Cliffs of Night" - if you can find it.

For urban fantasy set in Dublin, then Karen Marie Moning's Fever series, starting with "Darkfever".
