But it's all just so pointless and melodramatic. Nobody has to worry about whether or not they could "go on" without books (and you could, whether you believe so or not). Because books aren't going anywhere. And if we're talking about "end of the world" stuff, believe me, your reading time is going to be almost entirely consumed by "survival time" anyway.
