I got through the whole book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Without spoiling it for anyone, there are ups and there are downs (unlike The Road).

I'm a huge fan of zombie-free post-apocalyptic fiction, and this is one of the better ones. It's the only one I've read that actually deals with one of the harsh realities that most other books in this genre avoid; lack of routine daily meds that we take for granted, but that keep us alive.
