Going the way of the Gaucho?

Mine was acting up a few months ago -- slowing down, losing it's place when shut down, etc. I was able to reset it from the main menu, and it's working fine, now.

I hadn't thought of a thrift store, so that might be a possibility. I'm not sure if any of the customers there would want a jetBook, though, because of its obsolescence. Maybe I'll check on the way to Best Buy's recycling shelf. Thanks.
Well, aside from sending it to me ... ... I would also recommend a thrift store. In my state, at least, many will take electronic waste, so if they decide they can't sell it they can recycle it themselves. And the stores I visit aren't shy about refusing donations they don't want.

But, seriously, I have seen mini-disc players, consumer grade Polaroid instant cameras, a big gray gas mask* and all sorts of items at my local Goodwill, Salvation Army, and local charity thrift stores. There are lots of people who will buy all sorts of things as long as they're cheap -- and the store makes a couple of bucks they otherwise wouldn't have.

* I bought the gas mask for my daughter. She was in high school at the time, and going through a "steam punk" phase. For a week I was, like, the best dad ever.
