Well I was gonna come on here and say, yes Amazon got something right and this new update makes collections and the home page better organized and not so cluttered. Well....
The hiding of collections works and it is something that I like, unfortunately in Cloud view all those books that are a part of the hidden collections, well now they are showing up on the Home Page. Which means I went from having 15 pages if all collections are viewable to 97 pages, of which 5 of them are collections. So now I need to figure it which ones I need to turn back on so that only collections are showing.
Other than this tiny flaw, I like this feature, it makes the debacle of 5.4.2 much more manageable. Of course keep in mind this is only the experimentation of my pw2, I have not yet explored my android device(s) to see if these favorites are throughout the account or are device specific.
