Calibre via wifi

I am having a heck of a time here. I am trying to RE-load my books back onto my Kobo Aura HD. I had to do a series of factory resets, and of course all my books were deleted. Now when I tether my Aura to my Calibre library, on my computer, the Aura thinks that the books that were loaded are now DRM books. I am not very tech savvy so I don't know a way around this. I did try to use Adobe Digital to load my books and got the same results.

But yesterday, only for a few brief minutes I was finally able to, after months of tying I might add, I connected to my Calibre library via wifi! I was VERY excited! The books that I was able to download are PERFECT! But now I can not re-connect.

So now my question is, aside from what else can I try, when I open Calibre and Start the content server in Connect/Share, how do I know that it is actually connected and that I don't have a glitch somewhere that is actually preventing it to operate correctly? To the best of my knowledge there is not a blinking light to tell me that it is up and running. I have done some random web searches on the Aura just to make sure that the Aura is actually connected to the web, and it is.
