If you are in search for another editor I would recommend "Geany" that is easy and lightweight.
I already had looked at the first site and I just looked at the second. I think the problem is that jEdit's 'find and replace' is mostly for coders and 'string' (regular expression) stuff, which is WAY beyond my skill level or needs. Really appreciate the info!

P.S. Have Geany and REALLY like it. Very powerful. User friendly.
