I didn't go hog wild on the 90% as I didn't want to lose my credit card I just got gotten but I did pick up a series I wanted and didn't want to pay $5 a piece for so it's all good.

I read:

Naked in Death by J.D. Robb (3 Stars) What a horrible way to start a series! It's was boring and slow and had very little world building and the romance between Eve and Roarke wasn't built up or build on it was just there. The mystery is too predictable and just too shocking of content that I had a hard time dealing with it.

Glory in Death by J.D. Robb (4 Stars) This book is much better than the first and we see better chemistry between Eve and Roarke. The mystery is pretty predictable. I knew who the bad guy was from the beginning.

Immortal in Death by J.D. Robb (3 Stars) The Eve and Roarke Romance is much better in this book however the mystery follows the same formula as the first and once again I knew who the bad guy was the minute she brought him in.

Some comments on this series. I am trying to like Eve but if she keeps punching Roarke who is just trying to keep her from killing over and that really bothers me. an abusive heroine is really hard to like. I really hope it stops happening or Roarke just returns the favor but I know he wont. The mysteries in book 2 & 3 are really tame compared to book one. So if anyone wants to read this series book one is almost horrible but after that it gets sooo much better and I breezed through the next two books but I am taking a break before reading book 4. I agree with the person who said reading them back to back is not a good idea and they are pretty much the same formula.

I am reading:

Cry No More by Linda Howard: I am loving this so far! Such a strong writer and the characters are just so well written. I am told this is an ugly cry book so I am prepared. I'm about 30% into it.
