I assume that if Paypal says they are going to pay Kobo $0.66, and will take $0.66 out of my Paypal account (or use my credit card, which is the only other payment option), that they will pay, and claim $0.66.
If I do this 50 times, I expect 50 of these mails (which indeed did happen), and I either expect 50 claims of $0.66 or one claim of $33 on my credit card. That would be €23.87. OK, Paypal's exchange rate is higher, so let's say the charge is €25 or even €26.
If it's any different, I'd be angry, and mistrust will ensue. I would certainly file a huge complaint at both Kobo and Paypal.
On the other hand, if Kobo would state that using this coupon 50 times was never the intention, I could understand that they refund the money back to the Paypal account it came from, and then proceed to delete the books from the library. I would be annoyed, but I could understand this course of action.
