I just bought a few books using that 90% discount code. It works only on certain books and books that don't end with ".99".

I'm happy with the Kobo purchase, I have never been able to buy books for Kindle at a discount, what is frustrating about Amazon is some Kindle books are more expensive than the printed books at Amazon. Ebooks are pure profit since there is no costs associated the raw materials, manufacture/printing of the book, warehouse/storage costs of a physical book, shipping/retail costs. I would expect ebooks to be cheaper than printed books but it is not. Anyway, I'm glad I have decided to drop Kindle and switch to Kobo.

I don't think I will see that 90% off first book offer, maybe because I have already bought books from Kobo and maybe it is not available in Canada.
