The sales have gone through as normal as far as I can tell. As you'll recall this happened last October or thereabouts as well when the new checkout first came into use.

What happened the last time that we didn't get Receipts, and there was a fire sale on, was that when Kobo sorted the Receipts problem, and they started to roll out to everyone, the codes stopped working.
It appears that there is a direct link to the Receipts working and the codes validating.
