Or to put it another way, the CPU is 1/10th the speed of the Sony Reader processor and the 2 MB (16 MB max) is 1/64th (1/8th) the RAM of the original Sony Reader PRS-500. Both the Tandy and the Sony can use add-in storage (there is no hard disk in the Tandy at the $8,499 price point) and the "large" hard disks of the day were 40 MB or about 1/100th of the common 2 GB SD card for the Sony. Then again the Sony has a higher resolution screen but only in b+w and no mouse support or keyboard.
