I do know that you can easily copy audio books onto the Kindle. I haven't done it, but that ability is specifically mentioned in the manual.
It really isn't important what you get, as long as it is something that you like and that suits you.
That said ... I second the idea of trying the Kindle out for a few weeks. Start out with the masses of free books that are available. If you don't like it ... return it ... and you won't even have spent a dime on ebooks.
Me .... I knew about five minutes into using my Kindle that it was absolutely perfect for me. I haven't changed my mind ... or even had a second thought about it since then.

Exactly the way I feel......believe me, spending $359 for something I had never touched, or heard of before, wasn't easy. It took a lot of convincing for my husband, who isn't a reader, to agree.
I've never had a single regret, and even he agrees now........
