I'm not sure what to make of this. Atavist Books (which is a new publisher, as I understand it) is publishing a novella by Karen Russell (Swamplandia!) and the cover design, by Chip Kidd (the most famous cover designer working today), is said to be "interactive."

It's cool that they are doing something new, but 1. The animation looks pretty primitive and 2. Who is going to SUPPORT this? The article doesn't address this at all. If you buy the book from Amazon, Apple, etc., are you ever going to see and interact with this interactive cover? And how?
