1. Fastest probably depends on day of week, phase of the moon and where you are, where I am Goodreads is sometimes as slow as a wet week, Google is often slow, Amazon (US) and B&N are usually quick.

2. Meh, they're all much of a muchness - Goodreads is better for tags

3/4, Copy the ISBN into clipboard, then click that thing to left of the IDs field in Metadata edit (actually its a clipboard) and if its a well formed ISBN it will be put into the IDs.

There's an Extract ISBN (click) plug-in that will extract it out of a book, its best to use it before downloading metadata.
