Two series I will mention are:
The Myth Adventures Series by Robert Asprin. I had the first book in my too be read pile for months, then one afternoon decided to read it. It turned out to be one of the funniest books I'd read in a long time.
"A Series Of Unfortunate Events" by Lemony Snicket. Not a laugh-out-loud type of series, but still very funny.
