Enable Standard checkout instead of Quick Buy

This setting is in My Account, down at the bottom right corner of the screen.
CHECKOUT FOR EBOOK PURCHASES
Even if it is already selected (like it was in My Account for me), click on SAVE (again).
This is what I did in response to an instruction on Live Chat with Kobo today and it caused the Paypal option to reappear in the payment section when checking out, also the Use Gift Card option.
However, note that Paypal cannot be used for Pre-Orders, only credit card payment. This has been bugging me for a while now and I only took time today to get on the Chat to find out why and fix it.
Hope this helps somebody else who is having a problem with not seeing Paypal on the US website. Paypal is not an option for all countries though.
