No, I think you misunderstood what I was saying. The images will remain in the collection as long as those books are members of the collection, even if the books are only in the cloud. The only way to make them disappear from the collection is to actually remove their membership of the collection. ie edit the collection and take the books out of it. Deleting the book from the Kindle doesn't take them out of the collection.
