Personally, I thnk books should be made into TV series not movies. Imagine how much of the original detail in the book could be retained if you got 13 epsodes worth of time vis-a-vis 1-2 hours for a movie?
The worst adaptation ever, IMO, was Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Perhaps the best would be LOTR and Gone With The Wind.
