If you have selected "nameish" and there is no definition, you can move the selection handles to leave out the "ish" and get the definition for "name". From there you can get to the full page dictionary by long-pressing "name" in the definition, and enter a word without retyping "name" by tapping the magnifying glass icon at the top left of the full page definition.
