My reading might have just taken a nosedive. I got my GCW-Zero in the mail yesterday. I'm planning on going on a tear playing some old friends...Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 1, 4 & 6 and Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Sure the games now are pretty and slick, but sometimes you just can't beat slumming it with a fond memory!
Banished - brand new indie (and made by ONE GUY) city builder sim. Easy to learn, hard to master. No combat, just your villagers against the elements, trying to build a town and survive and grow. So far, there seem to be two camps of opinions - "Meh" and "OMG I can't stop playing this game!" I'm definitely in the latter group.

Available at Steam, Humble, GOG and other popular gaming sites.

(I sound like a commercial.)

Also, Triple Town. I had this on my Kindle Keyboard back in early 2011. Apparently, in the meantime it was also a mobile app game and a FB game, but I don't get into those so I had no clue. It's now on Steam, and I found it, bought it, and it's even more bizarrely compelling than it was in e-ink. Cute and addictive.

Also picked up a few bundles from Humble and Blink. Several metroidvania-style platformers in there. Great way to try new things and support a good cause without spending much money.

And, oddly - Bejeweled 3.
