I checked the grammar of the revised version of the sentence at question in Word, Grammarly, Reverso, and Spell & Grammar Check; none complained about the third sentence, although there were some quibbles about the second. Here's my revised version of the post in its entirety:
@ seacity - please have your four-year old grand-daughter cast her beadies across that. And, don't encourage her to be a politician, cast her instead as an old-school editor, heavens knows we need some of them. IMO we have more than enough mealy-mouthed politicians and hangers-on thereto. Out of the mouth of babes... Psalms 8.1

Good advice! Did not take it as an accusation. We all have grammar fails. I cringe at some of the allegedly professional book reviews on Publisher's Weekly. There seems to be a major love of the run-on sentence! A lot of parents, including my daughter, are very concerned about the new Common Core standards. They don't even teach cursive writing anymore. The 4 year old is already reading on a first grade level but her Mom, wisely I believe, wants her to develop a love of "real" books first. She loves Mom's Ipad but it's use is very supervised. She loves to come to my office because I keep a little pink toy laptop there & we make her a desk with pads & colored pencils. She loves the paper shredder - good skill for future politicians! Right now she just wants to be "Merida" the Disney warrior princess & "ride like the wind."
