Good Morning!!! Sorry about being so slow with the pictures - I guess it was that time zone thing that Dreamer mentioned that kept me from doing it right away.... oh wait, she is talking about geographical time zones, and I'm talking about interdimensional time zones. It's that 4th dimension, it'll get you every time.

I've just got to say: Our get-together was wonderful! It was like a family picnic, but with a family you choose.

The food was GREAT! bmwVan's wife brought sandwich makings, and let me tell you, the fresh sliced sourdough bread was so good that I wanted to just sit and eat bread! Dreamer kept all of us very very happy with her chocolate/pnut butter/ritz cracker snacks - I don't think the lid stayed on that particular bowl more than 5 mins at a time! Slayda's wife sent this cornbread that is filled with meat, cheese, corn, and seasonings, and I had a big piece of that! She also made something they called LBJ cake - it was a pecan shortbread crust, topped with a layer of sweet creamy pineapple mousse, topped with a layer of vanilla cream mousse, then dusted with coconut. Silly Slayda - He actually asked if the servings he was giving us were too big!

Slayda and bmwVan found their bliss quickly. They were trying to do something pythonish, but my eyes glazed over and I went for more chocolate. Earlier, Slayda took us to the trunk of his car and sliced apart a pbook while demonstrating his able-to-slice-off-a-whole-finger cutter, then back to the pavilion, where he showed us all his amazing double-sided scanner. His daughter, Miss S, timed him - took 16 mins from pbook to PDF. AMAZING!!! My darling hubby, Tim, liked that gadget best of all.

We got lucky in our final venue. The group that had booked the "big" pavilion cancelled, so the park people said we could have it. It was beautiful, like being in a lodge somewhere.

OK, enough chit-chat: On with the show!
