Yeah, I've seen quite a few '64bit not working' reports where the 'solution' has been to use 32bit. FWIW it will only make a difference if you need to convert very large books.

My perception is that there has also been a higher incidence of cover related problems over the past couple of weeks. And like the 64bit Windows issues they are all over the place, intuition says there must be a common cause - but the symptoms vary widely.

Sorry, not following your comment re the need for a grammer correction ; > My eyesight must be failing. I don't see that I even used the word "have" in what you quoted, let alone twice. I do, however, see a left out word. Since I can't fix it we will just have to do what my 4 yr old grand daughter calls a "pretend." ( I am sure she will be a politician some day.)

I think the more features that are added to a program, the more potential for conflicts. As you said, what works for one person might not work for another due to numerous variables. That's the reason I don't load programs & apps to my computer or other devices that I don't regularly use. I use very few Plug Ins because you never know if one thing will "step on" another. However, you're also right that whenever you start seeing problems of a certain type there is typically a common cause. It just takes a lot of patience & testing to isolate the problem.
