Aaah, then maybe the books came with a jacket. Just get modify to get rid of them all if you don't want them.

I suspect a book can have multiple jackets (from difference sources maybe - publisher, seller, library manager etc), so maybe calibre convert will only act on the calibre jacket, IMO there should be an option to put them at the back of the book.

I wonder if the problem you have with Polish is related to the problems you had with using the 64bit version of calibre on Win8.
