Falbe P, look at the website www.chavtowns.co.uk and you'll get a good idea from the other towns what this one can be like. There is a very good thing we have here and it's the M23 freeway which gets you out of it quite quickly. Think of the movie Deerhunter. Subtract the fume-spitting chimneys of the steel mills. What's left, is Crawley. The tourist board was disbanded years ago!

I must be honest though as we bought our house here in 2000 after moving from South Africa (hence my account name). Where we live is quite pleasant, being in a cul-de-sac so we don't get waves of pissed, vomit-chucking louts walking by. Are there any other good things about the town? Yes. When I think of one I'll update.
Well, I went and followed the link. Very well written essay! I am fascinated by this term "chav". Are these perhaps soccer hooligan stock? Is this British code for "white trash"?
