1. Bigger question -- checking or unchecking the editor's [Show the name of the current character along with the line and column number] does not seem to make a difference to the lower right corner display. Is that what the option refers to? (Option Ignored.jpg)

2. Small quibble - it seems that it's the character before (not under) the cursor that has it's 'name' displayed since even selecting the NBS it 'decodes' the previous letter (Cursor Position.jpg)
