It's kind of a long shot, but you could try
1) unzip the epub file
2) run kindlegen with "content.opf" from inside the epub.
If that doesn't work, you can try looking at the unpacked files and see where the error comes from - based on the error from Kindlegen it seems there's a conflict between multiple css references.
Or, try to convert with Calibre instead of Kindlegen.
