I have just started using a new technique that has so far helped me to not buy more ebooks. Whenever I get the urge to click that buy button, I make myself open up calibre instead and work on curating my giant library. There are still a lot of books in calibre that require tagging, weeding or other cataloging. I also have a "Read" column and a "Free" column in my main library view. Seeing how many books I've paid for and not read yet is a sobering reminder that maybe I might not need whatever book I'm thinking about buying right then.

I'm crossing my fingers that this will continue to work longer term. So far, so good!
