How much practice have you put in? If you've never really put in a solid couple of weeks to improve your typing then I'd start by doing that. It's cheaper, more robust and more reliable than importing niche hardware.

You don't need any speed to be able to put down original writing, all you're really looking to acquire is the confidence of knowing where the letters are so you can type without thinking about it.
