Yes, I'm talking about the "footnote preview", sorry.
I'm a italian publisher of digital books, and actually I have some interactive fiction' s epub that works bad on Kobo.
One of this is a real big hypertext fiction, more or less 5800 single short chapter connected via hyperlink. You never turn the page, but use a link in the story to decide how to the story have to be.
The ePub is working fine with a lot or e-readers (like the old cybook gen3), but with Kobo we got problems: the links are very hard to activate (often kobo turn the page instead activate the link), and kobo begin to be real slow if the ePub is big. Finally, after the last firmware, this ePub do not work anymore, kobo show a white page.
Converting in kepub it works again, the link are working great and the jumps from one chapter to another are real fast. But Kobo thinks that any jump is a footnote, so it gives a preview for each hyperlink it meet. And in a hypertext fiction you have to use links real often, so follow the story become a nightmare.
So, I need to disable the footnote preview, publisher side if I can. But there is not any document about this. If someone has ideas, welcome.
