That's why I personally decided to "standardise" on MobiPocket some time ago. I don't know what I'll be reading eBooks on in 5 years time, but whatever it is I'm entirely confident that it will support MobiPocket. Mobi have far and away the best track record in the eBook business for supporting a wide range of reading devices - mobile phones, PDAs, dedicated readers, etc. I can read the same books on my HTC Touch phone, my iPaq PDA, and my CyBook Gen3; there's no other dedicated reading format that I could currently do the same with.
