Loosheesh, if you come back to the forum and you would like to, PM me. I, too, have a somewhat obscure degenerative autoimmune neuromuscular disease and I have taken the alternative medicine route which has been very helpful. I'd be happy to pass along what I've learned, or to just talk if that's what you need. My heartfelt thoughts are with you, it's a tough road when one's health fails and it takes a lot of internal strength to get through.
