We are surrounded by clocks, bedside clocks, kitchen clocks, wall clocks, microwave clocks, stove clocks, wrist clocks, phone clocks, mantle clocks, grandfather clocks, radio clocks, church bell clocks, Imam call to prayer clock (at precisely sunrise and sunset), there's so much time available it can drive one cuckoo.
Google glass will provide time in your face, and you can read at the same time, and tweet, and facebook, and skype, and IM, and PM, infact you can then do everything except read the book in front of you.
The purpose of reading is to pass the time, not keep track of it, and if I REALLY need to know the time I'll tap once for the menu.
A uncluttered page is a happy page, I really don't want tons of data displayed in all corners which would distract from the simple, basic, pleasure of reading.
