The only e-ink devices you are likely to get better display on than the Glo are the Kobo Aura HD and maybe the newer Kindle Paperwhite. The Aura HD has a higher definition screen that is generally considered to be the best. The Paperwhite has the latest e-ink screen and seems to be the best at the resolution it uses.

But, have you tried adjusting the fonts on the Glo? If you are using a supplied font, there is an "Advanced" button next to the font name in the font settings dialog. This allows you to adjust the weight and sharpness of these fonts. Playing with that might help solve the problem.
