The issue for me is that the eclutter bothers me, just the idea of it. With a continuing influx and hundreds of unread books, I am never going to get to the bottom of the pile, so my goal is to eliminate buying more books which are going to languish forever. I've already got plenty of 'em. I need to buy only books that are at least as appealing as roughly the top hundred or so I already own, bargains be damned.

All the more reason to put these books into calibre. It will serve as a backup and as a way to remove the eclutter. (I hate dmr when it causes me problems with backup. It is like saying I can't put my books in any bookcase except the one I buy from the store lol)
