M92 Black Screen Problem
Hello,
I used my M92 for about 18 month now, but got a strange problem last week:
- waking from sleep mode - o.k.
- reading the current page - o.k.
- turning the page - black screen
The battery is charged, there are no damages but I can not revitalize the reader (neither by turning off nor by reset).
Searching for a solution I found this forum and Booxtor's article "Disassembling of Onyx M92 " (great, thank you!). So, I opened the reader, disconnected the battery (hard reset) and tried again. This fixed the problem as long as I turn on the reader twice a day. If it is in sleep mode for a longer time I get the black screen again.
Is there any way to get a steady fix? A "hard reset" each day is a little bit uncomfortable.
There is a small cell battery soldered next to the main battery's connector.This battery seems to be flat. Could that be the reason for the black screen problem?
