Don't worry, the boot loop is an Aura-only issue. You don't need to do the procedure outlined by eXistenZ. That's only to fix the bug where the Kobo's frontlight won't turn on if it's set to 1%. It has nothing to do with night mode.

The installer/uninstaller you linked to is for the Kobo Aura, I don't know if it will work on the Glo. I should have been more clear in the first post. The download for the Glo is at the bottom of the first post.

Once you've downloaded the zip from the first post, extract it and copy the KoboRoot.tgz file from the installer folder to the .kobo folder on your Glo. You don't need to power off and on again, your Glo will do that automatically once you unplug. As soon as your Glo has finished rebooting, night mode is ready to be started by long-pressing the light button.

Hopefully that clarifies most everything.
