Installed Calibre for the first time last night on ubuntu to use with my ipad 2. Amazing software! I have a couple of questions regarding automatic conversion. I have looked for answers but not found them. I apologize in advance if I'm asking what's already been answered.

1. when I enable 'Automatically convert added books to the current output format' in Adding books, with EPUB selected in Behavior > preferred output format, my books (.mobi) don't appear to have new versions available. is there somewhere else where I should select EPUB?

2. I'm connecting to Marvin on my ipad via the content server and it's working amazingly! If i cant get the above to work, is there an option to convert the format when I copy the book to my device? From what I've seen this option is available if I plug the ipad into the pc, but it doesnt seem to be available via the content server... perhaps it's therefore an issue on Marvin's end?

3. I have converted some books manually and their folders contain EPUB and MOBI formats. If I run a batch convert on all my books using, Calibre to generate EPUB versions, will Calibre overwrite the existing EPUB versions?
