Using this (older) thread to ask my question on how to have MORE REFINED parental controls.

A friend bought Kindle NTs for her kids by my suggestion, and she asked me whether it is possible to disable buying books on the Kindle (or setting a password).

I said sure, here's the "parental controls", now I have turned this off, and you can no longer access the kindle shop from the device.

That is not what she wants, however. She wants her kids to be able to browse the Kindle shop on the device, but NOT be able to buy the books without entering another code or password, as her kids (and she herself) have obviously already bought books in error when searching.

Does anybody know of any way to achieve this? Something like "disabling one-click-purchase" ?

Best regards,
Andy
