Simplest thing in the world - just add 01 or 02 or 03 to beginning of the the title

"Gone With The Wind" would become "01 Gone With The Wind"

the second book would become "02 Back With The Sun" (or some such title)

Put your numbering at the beginning of the title so it shows even on long titles that get

cut off and as well they will be ordered by the number you give them.

Make sure you use two digit numbering otherwise 1 will be followed by 11 (that's how

computers number sort)

I have all my collections set with the author as the only tag - when I click on an author

it opens to show all his books in the order that I have numbered them.

If you have an author with more than one series, just add an identifier at the beginning of

the title. In your example "Le Carre" would be the tag and his George Smiley novels would

be "GS 01 A Call for the Dead" and next "GS 02 A Murder of Quality" etc - I don't want a lot

of "collections to sort through, just the authors names
