The sticky part can be that there is a limit to how many computers they allow for each account and it doesn't matter if you de-authorize the old computer, it still is counted (Amazon does things differently). An additional slot for an authorization will eventually be allotted to you, or if you have a particularly bad run of luck and go through a lot of hard drives or something, you can phone Adobe and plead your case for another slot.

Question: I have Kobo for PC. I don't think I have the ADE unless they load it for me. Does anyone know if they load it? I know I can read the books so I'm assuming I have everything I need (unless I decide to strip the DRM so I can read the books on my kindle?)
I'm curious if ADE software is on my machine for library download purposes. I don't think it is because when I downloaded an epub from the library, I couldn't figure out how to read it. I had no idea if I had digital editions and was too lazy to try and figure it out. I didn't think I had it. I ended up reading part of the book in the "library cloud" instead.
I think I will go look and see if I can find a digital editions something or other. I know it's not loaded on my desktop icons, but...I should be able to find it. Maybe.
