That is why it is good that Calibre is able to handle the different requirements.

For instance, I like to be able to type in a search for an author and have everything I have of theirs show up. That includes anthologies that have stories by them.
Having edited by xyz would not allow me to see that.

The thing is, there is no "One true way" just ways that work for various people.
