Well that goes for a lot more than books. This months technology will often be much cheaper 3 months from now and often less than 1/2 price in less than a year. Same with fashion etc. Most basic things can be bought on sale for a lot less if one plans ahead.

Still I do buy things now on occasion even when I know waiting a couple of months will make a big difference. Go figure.
