Blossom answered this question for me a while back, she said Amazon does honor the warranty. But still I personally would rather go with Amazon to be safe. But price is a factor too I know.

I had to exchange my KFHD and it was many many months later (close to the year) and it was no problem from Amazon. The battery wasn't lasting long, but I have since discovered it is the way the KFHD battery is, doesn't last long. I think it is the Audible App that drains the battery, or other apps, but anyway this has nothing to do with your comment. Sorry. Point is Amazon takes care of their customers. Just wish they price matched!
