Does the charger have to run with 500 mA?

Hello!

Technical terms for a non-native speaker, non-electric person ... well, I hope I make myself understandable.

The Cybook runs wih 500 mA. I'm looking for a charger to recharge the battery without connecting to my PC.
Now, I've got a charger for my iPod which runs at 1000 mA. Since it has the same USB-connector I'd like to use it also for my Cybook. Question: will this cause any harm? Like overloading the Cybook or simply blowing the fuse, so to speak.

Any experiences which charger is best suited?

Thanks in advance,
Thomas
