I don't think it looks similar to Comic Sans, fortunately. But it is a very clear, easily readable font. I don't like it on my reader, but I use it for all the handouts I prepare for my students. Experimented with some regular serif font recently, because I was a bit tired of Trebuchet, but students (elderly ladies, in that case) complained at once and demanded their Trebuchet back.

I can't stand Open Dyslexia. I grew up on Comic Sans but now I prefer the fonts I listed but keep in mind I've alter them to work with my form of dyslexia and yes Trebuchet does look like Comic sans to me once you add alot of weight to it and stick it on a eReader.
