Some were downloaded to my old PW1, some freshly bought and downloaded to my new PW2. Tried Apprentice Alf 3 times now, removes DRM from some books not all.
Maing headway though a little as some books load and stay in collections now just got the rest of them to do.

Exactly - that's the point I was aiming at. You can't download a book for one Kindle and then send it to another if the book has DRM. Hence my earlier advice to get the help of our good friend Alf in removing the DRM.
