I hate to have to say this but to get what you want you need to switch to Kindles - Amazon do the whole 2 way thing very well. Sony seems to be one way only whatever you try - you can export, you can't import.

I am pretty sure ( but posting to Kindle forum would be an advisable double check) that if you buy an amazon book, add some notes & allow sync to the amazon cloud, then put that book on a different Kindle ( registered to same amazon account) your notes etc. will download & re-sync. Only works for book bought from amazon though, not for side-loaded ones AFAIK.
